Fully aware that caring for the environment is an issue of international concern and a matter of social responsibility around the world, our Association—the wineries and producers of the Casablanca Valley—has initiated a series of measures to help preserve the natural environment around us.

Many of the companies have already signed the “Good Agricultural Practices” agreement that standardizes waste management, maintains a record of agrochemical applications, and regulates the installation of facilities and services for the storage, collection, and recycling of containers as a means of preventing water pollution and the creation of garbage dumps.

The investment in latest-generation equipment for treating wastes from the winemaking production chain, the energy requirement study that results in a reduction in and more efficient use of water, electricity and fuel, and the ongoing progress toward organics for more than five years prove that the valley is steadily working toward sustainability.

We have already initiated the “Territorial Systemization for Sustainable Development” project that seeks to emulate successful international experiences. In the case of Casablanca, it will protect urban and rural areas.
