Casablanca features a modern valley with exclusive geographic and climatic conditions, with high quality grapes. As it is a new valley, all its vineyards rely on the latest technologies and participate in the new Chilean viticulture. It has drop irrigation systems, which allow the efficient use of one of the most important natural resources: water. At the same time, each variety is selected according to the characteristics of each type of soil, training systems of the plant, exposure to the sun, correct canopy management, soil work and consultant’s visits to the vineyards; they are all part of the new viticulture that has led Casablanca to become the most successful cold weather terroir of Chile.

The Chardonnay was the first great variety of the valley, and still it is, pioneer in the establishment of plantations and leader, in qualitative terms, of all the Chardonnay produced in Chile, a country that has around 8,000ha of this vine stock.

- The Chardonnay [2269.05 has.] The valley became known for this vine-stock and nowadays it is the vine-stock with greatest surface in Casablanca. The first Chardonnay Premium of Chile, Amelia de Concha y Toro, was born precisely in this place years ago. Currently, there are several Casablanca Chardonnays which achieved the first places of the best Chilean wine guides and which have received important awards in Chile and abroad.

- The Sauvignon Blanc [1931.94 has.] is the second variety in importance (in terms of hectares) These vine-stock has demonstrated his great potential, which one has adapted very well to the climatic conditions of the valley and the producers, in general terms, they have chosen to try to intervene as little as possible in his vinificación in order that the wine represents with loyalty to the climate where it is born. Casablanca is the cradle of the best and more winning Sauvignon Blanc of Chile.

- Pinot Noir [710.37 has.], until 2005 the stained variety most reached on the valley was the Merlot. Nevertheless, this year the Pinot Noir overcame in a meteoric career, which took her from scarcely a handful of hectares during 90, up to more than 400 hectares that exist nowadays in the valley.
No doubt that the climate, the diversity of soils and the special interest that from the birth of the valley the most illustrious producers of Casablanca have showed, do that it of which the pinot To nongo has here his cradle is something not only logically, but also rightly.

- Syrah [107.8 has.], this of cold climate is one of the last bets of the valley, in spite of the fact that there is no great quantity of planted hectares, the results have been more than auspiciosos. From 2001, the first Syrah of cold climate in Chile were born in Casablanca, giving an alternative of new flavors to this vine-stock and also proving his versatility.
