Casablanca is a valley transversal to the Chilean territory. It extends approximately 24km long from the Zapata Tunnel to the Sanctuary of Lo Vásquez and covers a total of 22,000 hectares. Surrounded by mountains, the Route 68 runs through the middle of the valley like a backbone and connects Santiago with the port of Valparaiso. The Casablanca Valley is part of the Coastal Range, a chain of mountain formed 180 million years ago.
Nowadays, the valley hosts more than 6,000 ha (11,120 acres) of plantations with the highest technology available, frost control towers, certified drop watering and an exhaustive managing of the vineyard that guarantees first quality grapes.
Therefore, the valley of Casablanca has positioned itself as the best valley in Chile and abroad for white wines, especially Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, and among the red wines, the Pinot Noir and cold weather Syrah.
